Bardgett Helps SCAD Win Regional Opener
Bermuda equestrian Kayla Bardgett helped the Savannah College of Art and Design [SCAD] Equestrian team secure a dominant season-opening victory at the first Intercollegiate Horse Show Association [IHSA] regional competition, hosted by the University of Florida.
Despite the challenging conditions caused by fluctuating rain showers, SCAD excelled against a field of 12 competing schools.
SCAD was named the Champion team, navigating the difficult weather and tough competition with composure to amass a commanding 45 points, placing them eight points ahead of the nearest competitor. The victory marks the team’s first IHSA win of the new season, a result that provides a significant confidence boost for the remainder of the calendar.
