Logan Jiménez Set For European Football
Logan Jiménez is set to experience European football as part of Hibernian Under-19’s Uefa Youth League journey.
Hibernian start their campaign against Kosovan side FC 2 Korriku at Easter Road on October 22.
It will Jiménez’s first game at the home of Hibernian.
Both teams have entered the Domestic Champions Path second round phase of the competition, with Hibernian qualifying for Europe’s elite youth tournament after winning the CAS Elite Youth League last season.
Forty teams – including Aston Villa, AZ Alkmaar and Dynamo Kyiv – will also participate in the second round, playing home-and-away ties to secure.
Advancing beyond the second and third rounds would see Hibernian join up with teams playing in the Uefa Champions League path of the Youth League as the two pathways merge to begin the knockout stages of the competition.
A former Bermuda Under-17 captain, Jiménez played for Scottish Schools’ Under-18 in their home matches against English Schools’ Under-18 and Australia Schools Under-18 last term.
