Ministry Issues MAAC Race Traffic Advisory
The Ministry of Public Works and Environment issued an advisory in relation to the MAAC Beyond Fitness 5K Race on Sunday, November 16th.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment wish to inform motorists that the MAAC Beyond Fitness 5K Race will occur on Sunday, November 16th, 2025, between 8:30 am and 10:00 am.
“The following roads will be affected:
Race Routes:
“The 5K race commences at the corner of Dundonald Street and Cedar Avenue. The participants turn right onto Marsh Folly Road and continue along Palmetto Road to the roundabout where they exit onto Dock Hill. They turn left onto North Shore Road and then left onto Black Watch Pass. The participants turn right into Marsh Folly Road, then left onto Cedar Avenue. They turn right into Dundonald Street and proceed to the finish line at the Masters Home Centre car park.
Traffic Control:
“The race will commence on Sunday, November 16th, 2025, at 8:30 am and is expected to conclude by 10:00 am. Police Officers and Race Marshals will be present to direct traffic. All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collisions with the race participants. Motorists are asked to follow the instructions given by the Police Officers and Race Marshals to assist with traffic control for this event.
Road closures:
“There will be no road closures for this event.
“The Ministry of Public Works and Environment wish to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result. Should there be any questions regarding this event, please direct queries to the attention of the race representative, Sharon Craig, at 704-1626.
“In addition, the Bermuda Police are hereby authorised to “close off” streets or portions of streets and authorise parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.”
