The Bermuda National Trust’s Plant & Bake Sale returns on Saturday, February 14 at Waterville, offering plants, baked goods, and local produce to support the Trust’s conservation efforts.

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda National Trust [BNT] is pleased to announce the return of its popular Plant & Bake Sale, taking place this Saturday, 14 February, from 8:30am to 12:00pm at Waterville, 2 Pomander Road, Paget. This much-anticipated community event promises a delightful morning for gardeners, food lovers, and families alike—all in support of a great cause.”

“Our Plant & Bake Sale is our first fundraiser of the year, and we welcome all plant and local cuisine enthusiasts,” said Dr Dörte Horsfield, Head of Development & Engagement at BNT. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Bermuda’s natural beauty, promote sustainable practices, enhance home gardens, and enjoy delicious homemade treats. All plants and baked goods are donated, and we are deeply grateful to the local nurseries, private growers, farmers, and bakers whose generosity makes this event possible.”

The spokesperson said, “Shoppers can browse an impressive selection of plants, including colourful bedding annuals, native species, succulents, exotic orchids, and rare trees and shrubs. Knowledgeable gardening experts will be on hand to offer advice on plant care and selection.

“In addition to plants, the sale will feature fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, homemade preserves, honey, and freshly cut flowers. A tempting assortment of baked goods will also be available, including breads, scones, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, muffins, and gluten-free options.

“Guests are encouraged to bring reusable bags to support BNT’s sustainability efforts and are welcome to enjoy their purchases on site with freshly brewed coffee or tea.

“Parking is available at the Bridge Club on Pomander Road. All proceeds from the Plant & Bake Sale support the Bermuda National Trust’s mission to protect and promote Bermuda’s unique natural and cultural heritage for future generations.

“Don’t miss this chance to shop, socialise over a cup of coffee in the Waterville garden, and support a great cause in the community.
