Rugby: Renegades, Teachers & Police Win
The Bermuda Rugby Football Union league season resumed at the National Sports Center with matches in the Ladies’ and Men’s Divisions.
In the Ladies’ Division opener, the Renegades defeated the Police 36–10. Jessica Cassidy scored three tries, while Cat Morris added two and Lisa Brennan scored once. Laura Mulligan kicked three conversions. Akila Craig scored two tries for the Police.
In the second ladies’ match, the Teachers beat the Bermudianas 44–10. Lysmeire Santana scored three tries and two conversions for 19 points. Christina Halliday scored two tries, and Lauren Rothwell, Heidi Groves and Rickilee Pitcher each added one. Quin Burgess and Zaria Codrington scored tries for the Bermudianas.
In the Men’s Division, the Police defeated the Renegades 50–31. Shoji Aqui, Jaden Hill and Scott Clarke each scored two tries. Hadleigh Tucker scored a try and kicked five conversions, and Alex Dowling also scored.
Alex Brown scored three tries and three conversions for the Renegades, with additional tries from Calum Maule and Dzuri Gill.
