Washington DC Managing Director Announced
Mr. Omar S. McIntosh has been engaged as the Bermuda Government Office’s Managing Director. Mr. McIntosh has 15 years of experience in the commercial construction industry in both the public and private sector. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in civil engineering from the Mitchell School of Engineering at Morgan State University and an MBA from the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University. Mr. McIntosh is of Bermudian/American parentage and has strong family connections to the island.

Dr. Ewart Brown, Premier of Bermuda said, “I am delighted that Bermuda’s Washington office is open for business. I look forward to the office strengthening our ties to Washington and the U.S. as a business and financial center of influence. Under Mr. McIntosh’s leadership and counsel, I am certain that Bermuda will be promoted as the progressive and highly reputable jurisdiction it is.”
The office will provide semi-consular services for Bermuda in the United States in the areas of inward investment and international financial services and will liaise with members of Congress and other decision-makers to further Bermuda’s business and financial interests in the States.
Mr. McIntosh is responsible for the Washington office’s strategic plan, developing partnerships with U.S. corporations and managing relationships with Washington decision-makers. The office will closely monitor political and business developments as it relates to Bermuda’s interests both foreign and domestic. Bermuda Cabinet Secretary Marc Telemaque will maintain oversight of both the Washington office and the Island’s United Kingdom office.
