Shootout This Morning On North Shore
[Updated: 2 firearm incidents this morning]
Bernews understands there was been a shooting minutes ago this morning [Sept 23] on North Shore by First Church of God. Whether anyone has sustained injuries or not we do not know at this early stage.
We are on the scene now, as are the Police, we have limited details at this time but will update as able through the day.
Update 12:11pm: Police confirm there was firearm incident, and said “a vehicle was fired on” on North Shore, and there are no reported injuries. The Police are on scene and investigating the incident.
12:21pm: Police confirm another firearm incident took place minutes later on Court Street, making 2 in under 10 minutes: “There was also another report of a firearm that took place on Court Street, around 11:40am it appears that men on a motorcycle brandished what is believed to be a firearm however, no one was injured in that incident as well.”
12:22pm: Official information from the Police “At 11:34am on North Shore in the area of First Church of God in Pembroke. It appears that individuals on a cycle shot at a car however, no one was injured.”

12:33pm: We can confirm that a car was hit by a bullet, we are just uploading the photo of it now
12:46pm: An eyewitness says that two bikes were involved, with a person on the second bike apparently chasing and shooting at a person on the first bike.
They said that the bikes were traveling west and the:30pm: shooter was apparently shooting towards the south [towards the church]. The witness said that there had been a wedding there that morning and that wedding guests had been leaving. One car was in the church driveway waiting to come on to North Shore road and was struck on the passenger side windscreen pillar by on of the bullets that was fired. That information is unofficial.
12:47pm: The bullet’s richochet mark can be seen below [the small black mark above the rear view mirror]. It has not been officially stated at this time whether anyone was in the car at the time it was shot, however our eyewitness said there seemed to be someone the car.
1:30pm: We are now on Court Street attempting to ascertain more detailed information about that incident. Men on a motorcycle had been in the area wielding what appeared to be a gun.
1:55pm: Police say it is unknown at this time if both incidents are related, and as of yet we cannot clarify that either. An investigation into both incidents has commenced. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information about either incident to contact the Serious Crime Unit on 299-8106. An anonymous call can also be made to the independent, confidential Crime Stoppers Bermuda hotline at 800-8477.

And it is hard to curb this sad behavior because the parents condone it. Look at Tuesday’s RG. Yankee’s mom trying to set the record straight that her son is not a notorious gang leader/member. That dude was/is a household name. This craziness is out of hand.
