Police: “Relatively Uneventful Holiday”

December 27, 2010

This morning [Dec 27] the Bermuda Police reported the very welcome news that it has been a “relatively uneventful holiday,” and said they “would like to thank the public for their assistance over the Christmas period thus far.”

Although the weekend saw no reported firearm incidents nor serious road traffic collisions, the holiday period has not been without incident; Police report that Christmas Eve saw a business robbed by a man carrying “what appeared to be a bladed article,” as well as an attempted robbery on Boxing Day.

As far as unofficial crime/accident/fire reports we are pleased to say that Bernews had very little to report over the holiday period, with our Christmas-time coverage including only one minor Christmas Day accident and one turkey-related Christmas Eve fire department response.
