2-Yr-Old Recovering After Emergency

A 2-year-old girl is recovering in hospital after she stopped breathing this past Friday.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 5:30pm on Friday, police and first responders attended a reported medical emergency on Middle Road in Devonshire near the junction with Vesey Street in the vicinity of Belvin’s Variety.”

“It appears that a 2 year old girl had stopped breathing due to a pre-existing medical condition. Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the scene and the child was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where doctors were able to re-start her breathing. At last check the infant was recovering on a general ward.”

    I WAS IN THE NEXT ROOM AND IT WAS SILENCE FOR A FEW MINUTES.. SHE STARTED CRYING AND TEARS FLOWED DOWN MY FACE.. I FELT FOR THE FAMILY.. I MUST SAY EMT, KEMH AND THE POLICE SERVICE REALLY DID A GOOD JOB, BY BRING THIS LIFELESS ANGEL BACK TO HER FAMILY… TO ALL WHO WAS INVOLVED THUMBS UP AND A JOB WELL DONE..

    Thank you to the Fire and Rescue officer who seemed to be on his way home from work that stopped and bridged the gap until the ambulance arrived. He is a hero!

    I’m glad she’s okay. I was on scene assisting with traffic and i was disturbed for the next two days. GOD IS GOOD!!!!

      To:concernedislander – you did an awesome job controlling and re-directing the traffic. To: the ambulance crew you turned that ambulance around and had her out of there in a matter of minutes. Great job. Praise the LORD for her full recovery.

    So glad to hear this wonderful news.. I was on scene and was affected by it also, everyone was just banding together and praying that she would make it. Kudos to Caleb Zuill (the fireman who stopped to assist) and also the other young man, I wasn’t able to catch his name, for performing CPR/mouth to mouth on this sweet child. They are true heros who were in the right place at the right time… All the prayers really did work, thank you Lord for watching over this child and bringing her back to her family…
