Rider Arrested After Striking Parked Bus

Yesterday [Dec.20] a 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after crashing his motorcycle into a parked bus in the middle of the afternoon.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 2:30pm on Tuesday December 20th, police attended a reported collision on York Street in St. George’s. It appears that a bus was stationary at a bus stop and a motorcycle was travelling along York Street when the collision occurred.

“There were no reported injuries. The rider of the motorcycle, a 49 year old St. George’s man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and released on police bail. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.”

Later that day, another man was arrested for the same offence after crashing his bike into a wall on Harrington Sound.
