Goalkeeper Hall Aims To Keep Place

January 12, 2012

Bermudian international goalkeeper Freddy Hall wants to keep his place in Northampton Town’s starting line-up, he told the BBC Radio Northampton.

The 26-year-old joined the UK team last summer and made his debut in last weekend’s 2-1 victory at Morecambe. He was handed his chance after Shane Higgs suffered a long-term achilles injury.

“It’s just great to be playing,” Hall told BBC Radio Northampton. “I was standing by and the opportunity came about with Shane being injured. I was thankful we got the win and hopefully we can drive on from this now and keep winning.”

Hall began his senior career with Bermuda Hogges and had a spell on trial with Plymouth Argyle, and made his full international debut against Trinidad and Tobago last September.

“Given the opportunity here I hope to keep on improving and help this team the best I can,” he told the BBC.
