Bermuda Members of the Order of the British Empire may attend a special service in the UK in March – Government House announced last night. However, Members will have to apply for a ticket by the deadline, this Friday, 13 January 2012.

Her Majesty The Queen has commanded that a Service of the Order of the British Empire is to be held in St. Paul’s Cathedral at 11.00 am on Wednesday, 7th March 2012. The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, Grand Master of the Order, will attend this Service.

All those belonging to the Order and holders of The British Empire Medal who wish to attend should apply for a ticket, giving their full name, address, telephone number, appointment [GBE, KBE, DBE, CBE, OBE, MBE, BEM] and other decorations in block capitals as soon as possible and no later than Friday, 13th January 2012 to The Registrar, Order of the British Empire, Central Chancery, St. James’s Palace, London, SW1A 1BH or www.obeservice.org.uk.

Government House said that no tickets will be available for spouses who are not Members or Medallists of the Order, or guests, due to the size of the Order and the limited seating capacity in St. Paul’s Cathedral.
