Upcoming: Lindo’s To Lindo’s Race/Walk
The sixth annual Lindo’s To Lindo’s 10K Race/4 Mile Walk in support of Bermuda Diabetes Association is being held on March 4.
Organisers are encouraging potential participants to register early and start gathering pledges to defeat diabetes.
Goodie bags and t-shirts available for the first thousand participants who enter the race/walk between the two supermarkets.
Organised by Mid Atlantic Athletic Club [MAAC] and sanctioned by the Bermuda Track & Field Association, 10K run prizes are offered for: 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Male and Female Overall; 1st & 2nd- Male & Female Junior [Over 12 and under 20], Open [20 to 39], Master [40 to 49), Senior Master [50 to 59], Veteran [60 - 64], Senior Veteran [65 -69], Experienced Veteran (70+) 1st male and female finisher of Italian Descent ALSO Top school competitor prize [school with the most number of pupils who complete either the run or walk].
Entry Fees: Juniors: $20 [over 12 and under 20 on race day] MAAC Members: $30 Others: $40 MAAC Gold: $7 Late Entry Fee [at Saturday Number Pickup only]: $55.
4 Mile Walk Prizes: Competitive Walker 1st, 2nd & 3rd Prizes apply to Competitive Walkers and 1 under 20 prize ALSO Top school competitor prize [school with the most number of pupils who complete either the run or walk]. Participants can register for either competitive walk or fun walk.
Entry Fees: Juniors [under 20 on race day]: $20 Adults: $30
Late Entry: At Saturday number pickup ONLY Late Entry Fee: $40
Enter online or drop off forms at the Sportseller, Lindo’s Family Foods, Lindo’s Market or The Diabetes Resource Centre.
Entry Deadline:Wednesday, February 29th, 2012, at 5:00PM at all drop-off points.
