Two Men Arrested For DUI

Two men [aged 39 and 41] were arrested early yesterday [Feb.13] on suspicion of impaired driving after the police spotted them “driving erratically” on Crow Lane.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 2:30am on Monday February 13th, police on mobile patrol along Crow Lane in Pembroke observed two motorcycles driving erratically. Officers stopped both motorcycles and spoke with the riders, who appeared to be intoxicated.

“As a result, the two riders, a 39 year old Warwick man and a 41 year old Southampton man were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Both were detained in police custody after failing the alco-analyser test. A court appearance is expected in due course.”

In addition, around 8:20am this morning police and first responders attended a collision on Somerset Road, near the junction with Heydon Drive in Sandys between a motorcycle and a car.

A police spokesperson said, “The rider, a 27 year old Sandys man was conveyed to KEMH via ambulance for relatively minor injuries where he was treated and later released. The driver, a 52 year old Warwick woman was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”
