No doubt that bullets were about to start flying. Good thing the cops were close by. Feel the love!

    • Joey-Bag-O'doughnuts says:

Nope! You got it wrong. What’s going to happen now is that they return to their turf, round up some ammo and arms and settle things when nobody is expecting it.

  2. mrs info says:

Ya guys were throwing bottles at each other < it was mob vs parkside

  3. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!! says:

And no one was arrested . . . because???????????????????????????????

    • hmph says:

The police were being weird!!!! They tried running eachother over on jet skis too! The police just went up to them and let them go! And then of course they started back up again. Smh

    • richard says:

come on you know they can’t arrest P@rks!de what are you people thinking

  4. Guy Carri says:

I thought the water was no one’s territory and gangs could move around and do what they want?

    • Ahhhhh NO! says:

You thought WRONG! Mangrove Bay, Sandys Parish = M@B territory!!

      • Come Correct says:

“Paradise” lakes = p@rks!de, soon to be the full 200 miles I guess since NOTHING is being done about it.

      • sickofitall says:

since when do these low lives ‘own’ territory? who the hell raised these bastids anyway

        • Well says:

They raised themselves along with the other idiots.

  5. Justin says:

I also witnessed guys chasing eachother on jet-skis weaving around people swimming and around boats. What a bunch of idiots. Definitely tarnished the entire day for me.

  6. Smh says:

P@rks!de being reallll brave and their arrogance to even go up their is something else. (Smdh) Won’t be long until they caught slippin’ and can’t get up! HA

  7. HeyBye says:

This nonsense about territory is ridiculous.
Bermuda does not belong to any individuals or groups.
it is home to all Bermudians and residents.
Bda Police need to get like the Jamacian Police and crack skulls and put these idiots in their place.

    • Real Talk says:

“Bda Police need to get like the Jamacian Police and crack skulls and put these idiots in their place.”

[sarcasm]Because that’s worked so well in Jamaica, right? [/sarcasm]

  8. Angry Tax Payer says:

    @ HeyBye,

I agree with you totally. But we all know the minute the police actually stop supporting the law and start enforcing it. All the mama’s and grannies will claim that their wanna be gangster relative was innocent. It will definitely take more innocent bloodshed for Bermuda as a country to wake up! Its a wait and see game. Soon enough it will effect the right people and change will come.

    • Prophet says:

Right you are. But unfortunately, for some, these actions will be reactive, rather than proactive. An appreciable amount of “damage” will have already been done before those who have the authourity to effect change actually do so. Events which might have been preventable would become the catalyst.

  9. Truth is killin' me... says:

That would be a lot of skulls to crack!

  10. Baltic Fury says:

Pathetic, kiddie gangsters. No one will ever take any of these clowns seriously.

  11. Angry Tax Payer says:

Strange enough the police have cleared Cambridge Road successfully, but the worst road in Bermuda is right in their face. Lets see how long it takes for them to clear that one?

    • Mad Dawg says:

Ain’t gonna happen. The political will isn’t there. Too many voters ‘offended’.

    • Shocked and Appaled says:

Exactly right on the same damn street SMH

  12. Tom says:

I wish people would learn facts before commenting. People are always so quick to pass judgement #doLESS

    • observer says:

Tom can you be so nice and state the facts since you obviously know them

  13. terry says:

    It’s a cultrual thing.
Condoned by the operators of these gangs.
I have never read so much garbage as above. “Police support”.
Then again, some have nothing to do except spread hate.

  14. second says:

Congrats BPS!! Keep up the good work!!

  15. Triangle Drifter says:

Such a shame. Not long ago the Non Mariners Race was the last Cup Match weekend event that needed police attention. It was an event for civilized people. Apparently it is no more. One more event spoiled by those who do not know how to behave especially when liquor is involved.

Bermuda sure should be proud of the progress it has made.

I attended a 4 day music festival this past weekend in CT. It was held at a baseball stadium near a small town. The carpark was turned into a campground. There were at least 1000 people there.

Saw a police cruiser drive through once during the 4 days. No obnoxious drunken behavior.

No, it was NOT a religious event of any kind.

Such a different atmosphere from what The New Bermuda has become.

    • Ryan says:

Dude, there were *at least* 10,000 people at Non-Mariners. With no admission fee (unlike what would be the case with your “musical festival”). Not really an accurate comparison.

      • Triangle Drifter says:

The fact that one is a paid for event &the other is free, though many paid to be on boats, is irrelevant. The issue is people behaving themselves.

      • Mad Dawg says:

There were 10,000 people there? You sure about that?

    • amen says:

And???? You say this all the time as if this is supposed to prove something. Bermuda has plenty events that go on without incident and with no police presence.

  16. Ignorantbermudians says:

Y are u all so retarded I like the comment where some idiot says sandys means mob territory what a fool u sound like n the person that says the arrogance of park side to go up there and crap ur a fool also is ignorant fools like you what will keep this stupid crap goin on instead of making stupid comments u dumb f***s shud b trying to help fix up ur communities and get Bermuda back to the tourist welcoming country and not some WANT TO BE WAR ZONE fix up man don’t b excited about this crap it’s not amusing or funny about half of the mates I went school with are dead it’s 21 sq miles ffs grow up ppl

  17. @ Ryan – Really 10,000 people at non mariners? You must have been drunk.
We need to police ourselves and not allow these people to spoil our good times. it will not happen until you all are fed up. Stop looking to someone else to do somehting. It all starts with you, and you and you. Get the picture. Stop crying to the government, the police. You paid good money to attend various events so dont allow some ‘so called’ thugs rip you off of a good time.
@ Angry Tax Payer – That area got cleared why? Because the area residents did something. Plain and simple.

    • Ryan says:

Approximately 12,000 people attended BeachFest this year (check with the RG). I doubt Non-Mariners—which has been around for many more years—was substantially less patronized.

  18. k says:

a show of beer muscles !!!!!

  19. Sorry Ryan Beach fest is quite different. Only 2,500 attended Cupmatch with more attending later in the day. I was at both and non mariners and am quite sure that wit 220 crafts there was not 10,000 people there. But that was not the topic now was it.

  20. Triangle Drifter says:

There should be zero tolerance for stupidity on the water. The sea rarely gives a second chance. Arrest the jetski rider & seize the machine. The no nonsense word will spread fast.

    • richard says:

      here here

    • Mad Dawg says:

It’s only a matter of time until a kid swimming is run over by one of these idiots.

    • Jus' Sayin says:

“The sea rarely gives a second chance.”

      #PirateWisdom

  21. no way says:

Wa Ya Drunk? 10,000 people at Non Mariners. Ya his Drunk

  22. Will says:

all this talk of who’s territory is who’s is complete bullsh#t…if memory and knowledge serves me correct anything up to the high tide mark is property of the Queen/Crown and thus used for common ground or public access

  23. Winnie Dread says:

@ Mad Dawg I totally agree with you, the political will is not there as they do not want to offend the voters fearing they will not vote for them. As for clearing Cambridge Road and not Court Street wher people are camped 24/7 well that’s another show. Jerry Springer or Maury you choose.

  24. Haha says:

Oh now these a$$holes wanna have fun, too late you all made your beds!!!! Stay the hell in ya hoods , buch of FOOLS & and let the rest of us enjoy our summer!!!!!!!!

  25. Elephants says:

I am intersted in knowing what the colors are for each of these gangs:

    Parkside, 42nd and MOB

How can the general public distinguish who these gang members are?

Also are there any visible tatoos that can indentify them?

    Inquiring minds want to know.

BTW, this is a legitimate question.

    • tricks are for kids says:

@ Elephants yes they have colors but they are the same colors that ‘non’ gang members wear so you wouldn’t be able to always identify them by that. Some of them even wear suits!!!!! Some of them have well paying, legit jobs! They do have gang tatoos (often revealed during court cases). They may wear their scarves a certain way or have them in a certain pocket or they may have their eyebrows shaved a certain way. There are actually a lot more ways to identify them but sometimes it is very sutle….

  26. Cowell says:

    Royal Gazette put it best:

The long holiday also saw ten assaults, eight burglaries, ten road crashes involving injuries and five non-injury collisions, two robberies, two marine incidents, two disturbances, and 12 cases of driving while impaired. There were 22 arrests.

Calling the Cup Match holiday “largely uneventful”, police thanked partner organisations and the public for their help.

I wouldn’t call that uneventful – I would say for 22 square miles that is a country on the brink of complete social and domestic breakdown. Get your house in order Bermuda.

  27. Elephants says:

Thanks for the info. So what are the other subtle ways they can be identified?

I have noticed the eyebrows. I am assuming that the ones in suits would be at the top of the mob hierachy?

  28. tricks are for kids says:

@ Elephant when I refer to ‘suits’ I mean as to what they wear to work..SOME are gainfully employed and actually have well paying jobs not all of them “sit on the wall”..It’s so many different ways; certain color belts, watches…..the list goes on..each group has their own ‘identity’…and unless in most cases if you don’t know WHO they are you would never be able to tell….just about everyone wears a watch, a belt and some young men get their eyebrows shaved just for fashion…..I have mediated with some that have gang affiliations so that is why I am able to say …..it’s mind blowing to say the least because I have met with and taught some of them and it’s like wow who would have thought in some cases…but in other cases it was to be expected……

    • I am pretty sure that the police already know this. Are they willing to make this public is the question. OR THE PEOPLE CAN START TO DO THEIR OWN INDENTIFIERS so we can NOT let them enter establishments, parties, concerts, etc.
