  1. shared sacrifice says:

If they give the police a pay cut then who is going to attend gun shots fired? Crackheads or junkies?

  2. Frank says:

the people who know who and where these guns are need to speek up and stop the madness please

  3. Just One says:

So how many incidents in total in this area (Jones Village/Kyber Pass) in the last decade? We’ve heard those names quite a few times methinks… What is my point? I live nearby, and sometimes go jogging through the tracks there, so safety is a concern… Also, didn’t the opposition leader run in that constituency not too long ago? Both parties made promises of better policing in Warwick, and I’m sure most of us think it’s long overdue…

    • Concerned Citizen says:

Yeah, it’s the opposition leaders fault, it just has to be, even though neither party promised anything specific for Warwick. Last time I checked, shooting is island wide, but if you feel to make this latest shooting the opposition leaders fault, we might as well blame the OBA for all the shootings since dec 17th! They did promise to stop the shootings didn’t they? Now, you see how this convo is pointless? Next time you run through the railway trail, try to stop up the village and talk to the young people. Aren’t they your neighbour a$%^le?

  4. Get Real says:

    Legalize firearms.

    • WhatDeHell says:

might as well inna. so many shots fired on this small island

    • wolf says:

yea then all those punks can all kill eachother and we wouldn’t have to worry about gun violence anymore

  5. ggurl says:

Get a life shooter ! Need your hands broken …

  6. SpeakEasy says:

Everyone keeps quiet until their own family members are affected – then they want everyone to talk and the police to create miracles.

Those of you that keep quiet – support these criminals and their crimes!!!

Speak up! Call Crime Stoppers! Put an end to this before you have to attend a funeral for someone you love.

    • M.P. MOUNTBATTEN JP says:

Speakeasy speaks the truth . Many years ago there was a lone wolf in the wilderness attempting to galvanize families , particularly MOTHERS , to feel her pain after losing her son to gun violence . Now I notice she has gone silent . She’s left the call to arms for many , many other mothers whose sons are now cold in the ground owing to gunshot wounds . March , march now , march on the hill in March . Attempt if you will to pin the vile violence of your wretched evil sons on the state of the economy , pin it on the cruel practices of the politicians . But don’t look in the mirror , because what you may see staring back at you ….. pretty homes , pretty cloths , pretty cars , ugly end result .

  7. @getReal-_- says:

Get real are you for ?.ligalize fireamrs you need to get Real !…its funny to you until it hits home !think before you talk don’t get caught up in d Hype #justSaying

    • Impressive says:

I am sure it was sarcasm and a dig at the much discussed legalization or marijuana based on the principle that everyone does it,, (I assume).. lol

  8. RawOnion says:

I used to live in Jones Village many years ago. Hated it and moved. Sad to see the area is worse now. Take a good look around your neighbourhoods and see whats going on. We all know who the neighbourhood drug dealers are, who’s children are into what, who puts their trash out late so I know the residents of all neighbourhoods know who is doing what. Thats why i have no sympathy for persons when they beg for more police presence when they are part of the problem. Help the police to help you.

    • Come Correct says:

Help the police help you and PS will run this island. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve said the police need to clean up the trash hanging outside of happy valley belvins… Id have about 6 dollars but still, someone beat them to it and yet another Bermudian owned business suffers. I wouldnt go there before the shooting and its 45 secs from my house, you think I will now?

    • Richard says:

um RawOnion that means you know as well um just saying may be you can tell the police what you know yes it may have been awhile ago but every little bit helps.

  9. The real W says:

I wonder if the shots are diversions?

  10. Um Um Like says:

It’s such a shame…no one was injured that is. Gangsters need to get better at killing one another until there is nobody left.

  11. Nuffin but de Truth! says:

ya can all kill each other,I dont care!

  12. jt says:

There is no cure for dumbass.

  13. It is the lost generation!!!
“Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water! But a few of them even threw the basin out that held the bath water and baby and as a result we find ourselves among that “lost generation”. No go too; No come from and don’t know nothing or where they have been. Sad part about it, they didn’t drop out of the sky and the stork didn’t drop them at their door…… Imagine the rest!!!
PaReNtS…..play your role and if the cap fits wear it; as you created that heinous monster with no training….just a wilderbeast. Act right!!! Check ya self…… PLEASE….for neither you or your monstrosity is above the law. Punk@$$!!!

  14. Victor says:

Basically we need 40,000 employed persons to exit this recession, i.e 3,000 more jobs than the present 37,000 employed, which we are only going to get by opening the floodgates to all sorts of non Bermudian investment and approving every work permit that crosses Fahy’s desk – kiss it all goodbye when one of these jerks shoots the wrong expat or tourist, which will likely happen accidentally if these deviants are not quickly rounded up and put away forever.

Sadly, the perverse sick society brought into being by the likes of EFB, Col. Burch and the Cog is a legacy not easily shaken.

    • swing voter says:

Thank God the oba is in. They promise to fix this. lol The only way to deal with monsters is to chop off a few hands. Then again you have to find them first and neither oba,plp or the independent party jumpers can do crap about it.

    • shut them down says:

      Wow another idiot.

This has nothing to do with current or recent politics. The ground work for this was started 25 years ago.

Go back and look at the changes back then and you will see why things are this way.

      • Victor says:

You would have more credibility if you could particularise what those changes were twenty-five years ago…

    • Richard says:

when did they he ever imply that go back to sleep bottom line weather we like it or not Bermuda needs international Business all people like you hear is non-Bermudian non-Bermudian did you not see what happen when PLP did an all out strike on international Business and then had to come back and beg them to come back why do you think that is come on let be real here

  15. Real fren says:

Go ahead n kill each other. More girls for me

  16. CHEEE KUMS BIE says:

yup i bet if fire arms was legalized these fools would think twice about pulling up in some hood and firing without the fear that they would get fired back on

  17. Cisco says:

    @real W.. you could b right???

    • Come Correct says:

But if they are right, judging by the seriousness of gun offences that would tell me it was a distraction for something worse. Nobody was killed or injured that we know of, armed home invasion? There isn’t much weed on the island at all and its not like you can call 911 and say someone stole my Mary Jane at gunpoint.

  18. backbush says:

were is the milk man? all be for dec 17 he was talking about cease fire yea looks like after dec 17 he has been quite

    • Zombie Apocalypse says:

I thought it was Andre Curtis negotiating all the cease fires while he was in prison.

  19. COOL says:

I am so tired of hearing about these shooting it is driving me crazy.

  20. backbush says:

well most people say another day another $ we got start saying another day another shooting at less we not saying another murder

    • Local says:

Yawn….. People been saying that for a few years now. This is not news, it’s just Monday.

  21. R.I.P 42 Family says:

Look..none of you understand..I have lost 2 friends and 2 family members to guns on this island and have lost 8 friends to jail on this island just from guns..its to late to stop anything..its an on goin thing..people talk sh%! Until its hits home..half of the people up prison for these charges are not even guilty but have jus been brought in guilty because of association of friends that they have had for many years…we have not yet had a wake up call sad to say but its coming 1 day..jah doesn’t sleep..rest in peace Jahmiko leshore, joshua Robinson, Kumi Harford, perry Puckerin, kenwande and shane..and free Jahkai harford, darrion simonds, David cox, julian washington, jay Dill, kofi Dill, Jonathan Dill, and Jahkeo Leshore..love n miss u lot..jah bless

  22. R.I.P 42 Family says:

And I’m not sayn that any of it is right but its to late for the police to do anything about it..guns have been on this island for a long time its just now they are being used..the OBA isn’t gonna do nothing for the youth coming up in this war time either all there doing is helping foreign people. Instead of pointing fingers at people and putting them down for there wrongs we need to help the youts out..because believe it or not they are gonna be the next doing it so if you can instill in there head the right way to go about things than they will be the ones to stop it and the older ones who are doing dumb sh%# will be to old to be doing it..

  23. AVUNAYE WA 'KIFO says:

I am for legalizing guns. If these punks know someone owns a gun (apart from a gang member) they would think twice before carjacking or breaking into a home or store.

  24. Come On Man!!! says:

It may have been practice shots. Seems like after gun shots have been heard there ends up being a shooting. Don’t be surprised if there’s another shooting in a few days time. Police need to pay attention.
