FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour To Visit Bermuda

The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola will give more than one million people across the world the chance to experience the FIFA World Trophy™ in their own communities, including Bermuda. The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy will arrive in Bermuda on Wednesday, October 9th.

This will be the largest and longest global tour of the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy. Visiting more countries than ever during its nine-month journey, the FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola will visit a total of 89 countries, with events in 39 countries across the region that is home to the host nation, Brazil. The tour will also be visiting 50 new countries that have never had the opportunity to host the trophy before.

A spokesperson said, “The FIFA World Cup™ Trophy Tour by Coca-Cola is an exhibition of the real, one-of-a-kind, solid-gold FIFA World Cup™ Trophy and hundreds of lucky local residents will get a chance to see and be photographed with the Trophy on October 9th.

“Look for entry forms in local newspapers and follow instructions to enter the draw for tickets—entries must be received at The Pro Shop, Reid Street, Hamilton or John Barritt & Son Ltd, 33 Verdmont Road, Smith’s Parish by 5 p.m. on September 30th to be eligible for the draw.

“After Bermuda the tour continues through Central America and the Caribbean until November 7th and from there will travel Africa, Middle East, Asia, South and North America and Europe, to return to Brazil in late April 2014, in time for the start of the World Cup.”
