    People.

  5. Local Yokle says:

It sure could be 35k Scoalsy….. If each car was being driven at 35k and they have a head on collision, it’s the same as a car being driven at 70k into a solid wall…..hence the damage you see in the photo that I guess led to your silly statement… And I’m sure you always ride or drive at 35k??

Not at all true, Newtons 3rd law of motion clearly disputes that “fact” and states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

prolly was a big tractor trailer dat caused dis…

Damages like that in the photo don’t occur when one is traveling at 20 M.P.H. I would say it once again, equip cars and motor bikes and mopeds with governs to limit their speed. Yes, it’s true after passing exams at T.C.D. the individuals can remove the governs off the motor vehicle but, in the event they are stopped and found to have done so then confiscate the vehicle, also take their drivers licence from them for braking this Law!
Far too many accidents have happened through sheer carelessness and it must be deterred one way or another :-(

    • sebring says:

Restrictors(governs) on bikes and cars will only cause more accidents as u will not have the power or speed to pull out of a sticky situation and any reasonable govern placed on a car would be well above our local speed limit regardless why not continue making bermuda more of a police state and have license plates with bar codes and laser plate readers on every utility post so people can get a monthly speeding bill kind of like your belco bill it makes you think twice before turning your ac on ! and while u @t keep making suggesstions that! And make us bermudians look stupid and irresponsable!

    • JohnBoy says:

And just what device would allow a vehicle to stay within a set limit?

    • Raymond Ray says:

By the way don’t forget, “driving / riding is a privilege and not any human right”

    • RayMan says:

@ Raymond Ray just going to correct on a spelling error, I think you meant to spell breaking* this law

Not to be insensitive but I night a part of this car as well. Third Yaris wrecked!!! I need the light/indicator!!! Hope all involved are ok!

  9. Tricks are for Kids says:

One must also remember (whether you wish to agree or not) that vehicles are designed to fold….a small frontal impact can cause damage and like a previous post stated of BOTH vehicles were doing 35 it can cause damage like that….look how easily your car dents if someone parked next to you opens their door to hard and hits your car….
To all those talking about “speed” as being the cause let me be the first to applaud you for doing 35 on a daily basis. ..remember if your doing 36 than your “speeding” too ;-)

All these perfect people. Accidents happen. How can you draw conclusion without facts.. SMH….

  11. JH says:

I think the governor idea is overkill, impractical, and would never work. Besides, why should we all have to suffer for a few people’s idiocy?

    • Raymond Ray says:

Because our insurance will increase each time someone claims on their insurance… Now, that’s suffering for other people’s idiocy.

  12. Ty says:

Soon come you will see those Flatts Inlet speed bumps from Dockyard to St. Davids. They are already in St. George’s. Slow down people. The life you save could be your own. Hope all are OK. Damm I sounded like a commercial.
