46 Year Old Troy Robinson Dies After Collision
[Updated] The police have confirmed that a 46 year old St. Georges man has died following a road traffic collision that took place yesterday [Sept 29] on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of a 46 year old St. Georges man who died as a result of a road traffic collision that took place yesterday at 12:30pm on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish. No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.”
Update 8.10am: The police have amended the gentleman’s age to 46.
Update 3.02pm: A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 46 year old Troy Robinson and extends condolences to his family and friends
“Mr. Robinson was initially warded in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit after the motorcycle he was riding collided with another motorcyclist around 12:30pm Monday, September 29th along North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Coney Island Road East. He subsequently succumbed to his injuries at 5:29pm Monday.
“A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to assist his family at this difficult time. At last check the other motorcyclist injured in the collision, a 55 year old Devonshire man, was recovering in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital.
“Inquiries are ongoing regarding this fatal collision and any witnesses or persons with information regarding the whereabouts of 46 year old Troy Robinson in the hours prior to 12:30pm Monday should contact the investigating officer PC David Ward of the Roads Policing Unit on telephone number 247-1788.”

To all those well meaning people offering advice for road users to slow down, this is not the time or the place to advise. Speed is not a factor in every accident so it is an unnecessary presumption. It actually has an “I told you so” factor to it. Really no help. SMH
