  3. PBanks says:

    Hope the officers recover quickly.

  4. Tree Hugger From Future BDA Alliance says:

PLP’s fault, they ran up debt of $3,000,000,000 and as a result no budget to sens our Police on advanced rider training courses im the UK.

A vote for PLP is a vote back to 14 years of deterioration

Thankfully we brought AC2017 to bring jobs and pay down you lots debt mess

    • sorry, what? says:

how is it that everyone in this country blames the government for EVERYTHING? The people in power did not force this idiot to break the law. Get a grip people.

      • PBanks says:

It’s par for the course, unfortunately. There are some who’ll take the opportunity to bring partisan politics into any issue.

  5. A shame says:

Hope they are ok ! They need to toughen the laws for these idiots who don’t stop for the Police .

  6. Miguelito says:

I totally agree with A shame. Book ‘em.

  7. Sky Pilot says:

    Ban for LIFE!

  8. Watcher55 says:

Aren’t the cops supposed to prevent accidents? Why do they drive like they are the only ones on the road, I saw one idiot cop coming the wrong way, then parked on Cedar Ave the other day, it’s the same old story, they will because they can

  9. cuds says:

Well…..he only had five police bikes and a car after him. I thought he had committed a worser offence. Training day I guess.

  10. Triangle Drifter says:

Visions of ‘Smokey & the Bandit’ come to mind.

  11. really says:

Couldn’t the police have not chased the perp and therefore not crashed…and still arrested the perp later. Coulda been some innocent civilian injured in the crash…or another fatality?

    • CoCo says:

Exactly! They could have took down the license plate number and went to the residence of were the bike is registered to make an arrest.

      • Triangle Drifter says:

How many bikes do you think these thieves have with tags on them from stolen bikes?

Course the cops don’t help themselves out much by not publishing full details of what they know so that the public can report what they see.

    • Creamy says:

You live in a dream world permanently, do you?

  12. Whistling Frog says:

All police have a high adrenaline level when duty calls, for most it eliminates their capacity to think when chasing some ***…

  13. CoCo says:

To be honest it was a waste of time and money! I’ve seen so many police chases from growing up on middle town. The police always ending up chasing someone and dropping the police bike to run after the offender. I have also seen time they have crashed, is it all worth it?? Yes I want them to do there jobs… But at the same time they are putting others lives at risk and also are damaging vehicles that tact payers have to pay for.

    • sorry, what? says:

yeah blame the police because idiots break the law. Right, you seem to know exactly what’s going on.

    • Creamy says:

Amd next time there’s a death on the roads you’ll be wringing your hands pleading for the Police to do something.

  14. Kim W. says:

What a fool! How far did the traffic offender think he would get in the middle of the Atlantic? Hope the officer get well soon.

    • Money says:

Do you know what really happened? cause I hear a lot of this person should get what he deserve and nobody saying WHAT HAPPENED I would like to know..
Bermuda is so negative to everything, you do have two sides to a story you know… It’s mess way up because everybody i on the police side like they don’t do any wrong

      • but... says:

If the bike would have stopped, there wouldn’t have been a chase.

  15. Cow Polly says:

This is just another example of the more deep rooted problem of respect for authority and the laws of the land. Every day we witness motorists going through red lights, undertaking traffic and failing to stop for pedestrians at cross walks. On top of that we are now witnessing an increase in offenders leaving the scenes of an accident/crime or disregarding the authority of the police. Our leaders need to set an example for their citizens to follow beginning with respect in the HOA.

  16. JUNK YARD DOG says:

Save money supply the police with smaller bikes.
Riding a bike over 60 on our roads, your are doomed.

What is wrong with Motorola ! A Cop told me they use Motorola all the time in the USA.

    • Triangle Drifter says:

That is very true. You might be able to outrun a cop in a car, just maybe a bike, but you can’t outrun a radio signal.

  17. MAKE MY DAY says:

Send the “cops” back to driving school!! They are supposed to be better that the rest of us!!

  18. Charlly X says:

Smdh at some of these comments !! LoL !! I wasn’t there to see what happened !! But I think its time to equip the popo bikes n cars with a camera up front !! I hope the riders are OK . The law breaker should be fined enough to pay for the damages to the bikes. Although they are insured !! Taken off the road for the maximum number of years ! The two police need help !!
