Ball Hockey: Olympiques & Sarnia Sting Win

Thirteen goals were scored in 120 minutes of Bermuda Ball Hockey action at the PCC Hockey Rink, as the League Season continued.

Gatineau Olympiques 3 Tri City Americans 2

The Gatineau Olympiques took the lead in the First Period with a goal off the stick of Ryan Wilson, but Christopher Merritt would equalize for the Tri City Americans, the Second Period would see the team only score one goal each with the Gatineau Olympiques taking the lead again when Jacob Amlong, but yet again the Tri City Americans would draw level with a goal by Andrew Curnow. Only one goal was scored in the Third and Final Period and it came off the stick of Amlong as the Gatineau Olympiques earned a 3 – 2 victory.

Sarnia Sting 5 Vancouver Giants 3

The Sarnia Sting came from behind to defeat the Vancouver Giants 5 – 3. The Vancouver Giants went in front through a Warren Miller strike, but goals from Ernest Theriault and Jeff Morash gave the Sarnia Sting a 2 – 1 lead at the end of the First Period.

The Second Period saw Scott Fergusson score for the Vancouver Giants and Cory Caouette scored for the Sarnia Sting as they went into the final Period with the score 3 – 2. Minutes into the Third Period Chris Scot would draw the Vancouver Giants level but goals from Adam Chevis and Caouette ensured the Sarnia Sting would win by a score of 5 – 3.
