BGA To Host International Gymnastics Event
The Bermuda Gymnastics Association [BGA] will be hosting its sixth annual International Gymnastics Challenge on Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12 at the National Training Center in St. David’s.
The BGA will welcome 86 gymnasts from the United States and Canada for a weekend of gymnastics and enjoying all that the island has to offer, with the competition to showcase Bermuda’s very best gymnasts ages 6 to 22, all dedicated student-athletes who devote up to twenty hours per week to the sport.
The teams attending include Flyers Academy from Hammonton, New Jersey; Gym Nation from Riverhead, New York; Hill’s Gymnastics from Deer Park, New York; KMC, from Kennett Square, Pennsylvania; NYC Elite from New York City, New York; Sagamore Gymnastics from Syosset, New York; and Westys Gymnastics from Franklin, New Jersey.
Friday, November 11 from 2:00 pm – 7:00pm will see “Copper Level” [Beginner gymnasts] and All Boys Levels, while Saturday, November 12 at 8:45 am – 3:00 pm will see “Bronze Level” [Intermediate gymnasts] and from 3:45 pm -7:00 pm will see “Silver, Gold and Platinum Levels” [Advanced gymnasts].
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 16 under, while children under 5 years and seniors are free.
