Photos: Fire Destroys Bikes/Cars, Damages Home
Within hours of a fire in St Georges, another fire ripped through the exterior of a Cox’s Hill Pembroke residence early this morning [June 6], completely destroying approximately six motorbikes, severely damaging two cars as well as the house itself. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the fire.
The residents, who all appeared to be European guest workers, seemed understandably quite stunned this morning, and said they were unsure how the fire started. As one resident told us, the main thing for them was that no one was hurt, and for that they are very thankful. Almost everything in a 15 – 20 square foot radius on the patio appeared destroyed, with two cars appearing to be damaged beyond repair.
When we left, signs of rebuilding were already being shown, with friends of the residents arriving to assist.
At this early juncture, it is unclear whether this was a case of deliberate arson or not, however we hope to update this post with official information from the Bermuda Fire Service as early as we can, which will likely be Monday.

Thats either a warning or payback. It’s almost inpossible for a fire to start say on one vehicle and spread to the others in that seperation. It would take time to do that. This is definately pre meditated.
Glad knowone was injured.
One word: Arson!
Wow. That is a lot destruction. I’m glad no-one was injured. The fire service certainly had a busy night.
Can anyone spell arson?
It’s wonderful to read that they were already focused on rebuilding! The photos show quite a wrecked scene.
