Speaking on this past weekend’s [Feb 12] track and field meet, Bermuda Track and Field Association President Donna Watson said: “Once again we have had a good weekend especially in the middle distance events. Bermuda continues to show its power in our middle distance athletes.”
“Kyrah Scraders ran the “A” standard for the 800m now qualifying her for both the U17 girls 800m and 1500m. Kyrah’s time was 2:18.98 with the qualifying standard in the 800m of 2:23.00. Shaquille Dill also met the “A” standard in the 800m U20 boys in a time of 1:52.31 with the qualifying standard in the 800m in 1:57.0. Shaquille won a silver medal at Carifta last year and the Gold at the CAc Jnr championships. This places him in good contention to be on the podium again this year.”
