Photos: 2012 Miss Bermuda Swimsuit Shoot

June 7, 2012

On Sunday evening [June 3] the 2012 Miss Bermuda contestants descended on the Newstead Belmont Hills Resort on Harbour Road for a swimsuit photo session with Anthony Francis of Tekoa Photography.

Mr Francis is the official pageant photographer for the Miss Bermuda Pageant, while O’Faces is serving as the official makeup artists for the pageant, and Impressions Hair Artistry the official hair stylists for the pageant.

There are eight competitors vying for the chance to be crowned Miss Bermuda 2012; Miss Deshona Perinchief representing Warwick, Miss Lene Hypolite representing Devonshire, Miss Chelsy Furtado representing Pembroke, and Miss Dwanae Simons representing Smiths.

Contestants also include Miss Dashunte Furbert representing Hamilton Parish, Miss Shannon Ingram representing St. Georges, Miss Rochelle Minors representing Sandys, and Miss Crystal Lyn representing Southampton. View individual videos of each contestant here.

Under the direction of Milika Trott Seymour, the Miss Bermuda Pageant was brought back last year after a hiatus of over a decade. Last year’s winner represented Bermuda at the 2011 Miss World Pageant in London, and the winner of 2012 Miss Bermuda Pageant will travel to Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China to compete in Miss World.

Miss St. Georges East Jana Lynn Outerbridge won the 2011 Miss Bermuda Pageant, while Miss Smiths East Channing Dill was the 1st runner up, Miss Hamilton Parish South Rachel Sawden was the 2rd runner up, Miss Sandys Cratonia Smith was the 3rd runner up, and Miss Hamilton Parish West Sharmaine Landy was the 4th runner up.

Pageant Director Milika Trott Seymour said, “The photo shoot has a two-fold purpose, we want to make sure the ladies have experience in front of the camera and taking direction. Also, we choose the best photos of the ladies throughout the pageant process for the Miss Bermuda commemorative programs which are available at the finals on July 8th.”

The 2012 Miss Bermuda Pageant is scheduled to take place Sunday July 8th, at the Fairmont Southampton Hotel where reigning queen Jana Outerbridge will crown her successor. Tickets are on sale now here on bdatix.bm, with ticket prices of $65 for General Admission [level 3], $85 for Gold [level 2] and $105 for Patron [level 1].

The final photos produced from the photoshoot seen above will be included in the Miss Bermuda commemorative programs which will available at Pageant on July 8th.

  2. K.T.B. says:

I agree SeaSide, you ladies are bringing all sorts of “fierceness”, love the dramatic styling.

  3. allcloggedup says:

    yeah uh-huh ;-)

  4. Always Watching says:

it is quite scary that this is all Bermuda has to offer..albeit Ms. Pembroke and Ms. St. George’s are quite nice. SMH

    • Lola says:

I don’t think its so much as what Bermuda has to offer, but more what the vastly highly educated women of Bermuda want to put themselves forward for. I see pageants as exploitative and cheap. But I can’t speak for my friends. :)

      • Whistling Frog says:

        I agree with you Lola…

      • VJ says:

You can be vastly educated and intelligent and still want to be in a beauty pageant….What’s cheap about that? Unattractive women are always the ones to have problems with pageants, it gives them an inferiority complex. I’m not saying I’m going to win any myself lol but I’m not going to hate on women that choose to….

    • 2 Braceletz says:

Not true. These are just the girls who entered, not everyone is interested in or has the time to be in a pageant.

    • allcloggedup says:

yur out of yur mind bie…..southampton #1….she got it all

    • Jason says:

      Who hurt you?

  5. VJ says:

@ Always Watching…Oh be quiet! What do YOU look like huh?

  6. What the??.. says:

LOL.. You go girls!! Ms. Pembroke, WooHoo!!

  7. Bermy girl says:

To each his own. I truly believe in freedom of speech. Maybe Lola should have entered a contest, to gain self confidence and respect for others. Highly educated women, can be outstandingly beautiful and represent OUR country as a beautiful, intelligent ambassador.

  8. lol says:

I can never help but laugh a bit.

  9. Owner4Comment says:

Congratulations Nae I’ll be rooting for you, congrats to all the contestants and best of luck as well yall all look wonderful!

  10. LOL (original TM*) says:

St. Georges , Devonshire & Pembroke get me vote not necessary in that order.

    LOL

  11. Prayerful says:

It will definitely be Miss Devonshire. She is well spoken and not a bad looker.

    Go Hypolite!

  12. Panty Raider says:

I’m going to get attacked for this but this years line up is pretty weak.

  13. I See you Looking says:

@Panty Raider. Well when you really think about it, not a lot of young ladies fit the criteria for entering the pageant and the remaining ones who do are not interested!

I applaud these young ladies for entering, as they have a lot of courage to display themselves and be at the scrutiny of a Bermudian audience who can at times be very critical and unkind.

Good Luck to all the young ladies!!

    • Doi says:

Well said!!! @ I SEE YOU LOOKING! These young ladies should be applauded for putting themselves out there for all to see. I wish them all the best!

  14. Doi says:

Where is Miss St.George individual photo

  15. Fij says:

GO MISS SANDYS!!!!!! Her picture isn’t here but look out for her! Stunner!
