Police Investigating Firearm Incident At Woody’s
The police are investigating a firearm incident at Woody’s in Sandys on Saturday night [Aug 25].
A police spokesperson said: “Police are currently investigating an alleged firearm incident that took place around 10:15pm on Saturday, August 25th in the vicinity of Woody’s Bar & Restaurant in Sandys parish. There were no reported injuries.
“Detectives are interested in speaking with anyone who was at the Sandys establishment on Saturday night or anyone with any information regarding the alleged incident.
“Anyone who can assist with inquiries into this matter is encouraged to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010 or the confidential and anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.”
Unofficial reports indicate that the suspect may have escaped via the water after his gun “jammed”.

I fail to understand HOW these guns are getting in here. Every time I fly through the US, I am subject to bag examinations, x-ray technology, metal detectors…the works. (And as a 5-foot tall over 40 white woman, I scarcely look like a gang-banger).

I believe in God and truly believe there was an angel in that place because the ramifications of what ‘COULD HAVE’ happened are unthinkable. I just want some decent legislation be enforced and mandatory
1). All premises which serve alcohol to provide 24/7 CCTV footage.
2) Any prison sentence which exceeds 10 years for violence, drugs or gun crime. That person is to be exported to a Jamaica/Caribbean partner for sentence. Savn tax $ and less of a convenience to the culprit.
3) All police communication needs to be island wide. To many times things happen in town and st geo or sommerset does not know about it until it is to late. And through all units.
4) As a prevention to person by which know their life is in jeapody be able to purchase legally/locally protective attire ( bullet proof vest) itis not condoned but life is precious.
5) the set charges/punishment be enforced with NO flexibility. 1 bullet is ten years – nooooo less and this is FOR EVERYONE.

That’s what I say, you could bury an AK in mud, dig it back up and fire it, you could submerge it in water and still fire it (not under water) as long as you rounds are clean. If the barrel was dirty and the roud jammed inside it would have blown up in his face…unfortunate. Also an AK isn’t something you just stick in a jet ski compartment unless we’re dealing with folding stocks which is scary because its one thing to get a semi-automatic weapon, its another thing entirely to get automatic weapons since I believe they’re illegal in most places other than to military and law enforcement, then again its not so hard to customize yourself if you know what your doing, but to have the accessories too? If this is the case they’ll be armed better than the police soon. At least if they have scopes I hope they don’t have the know how to dial them in or the opportunity, so it should just throw their aim off even more…I hope. I think this is that time where you get serious about this… B.O.P.E.

Over 300 arrests in Chicago after a weekend of shooting at least they are trying there. How many arrests take place here after a shooting?,Need to get the violent people off the streets and out of their moms houses before this blows up in our faces all over again.
