  1. We all we got says:

    thats too bad

  2. I think it is about time government starts introducing all boat operators to take a test like getting a car licence!! to many people on the water not knowing the rules !! or how to operate a boat !! but than again how many a–holes have a car licence and do not know how to drive!!

    • Deliverance says:

i’ve always wondered that too! govt should hold compulsory courses which the boat owner must pass. charge them for the classes, charge them for the issuance of a boat driving license and issue steep fines.

    Boat names? People names?

  5. Former Union Member says:

I saw a center console going down Granaway around 10:30pm with a big Heinekan flag flying…no lights, happy as pig

    just before summer ,,oh man

  7. Andrew Carmichael says:

The average boat owner today, does not have a clue. Most think that boating is like driving, and we all see the degradation there. Myself, I gave up being on the water, which I love because I saw the writing in the sand. Thankfully it was minor. Brush up on the rules of the water, and boating safety!

  8. Truth is killin' me... says:

And forget about 5knot no wake…some fools on the water just gun it everywhere…”JAZZY”!

  9. swing voter says:

again I say just because you can buy a nice boat with your annual bonus or commission or drug revenue,it don’t make you an instant captain. I’ve been on the water since childhood and still avoid night boating in areas I’m not familiar with

    • Jim Jones says:

you know what they say about assumptions mate…..

  10. Come Correct says:

Bermy sure does have come epic boatsmen. Could have been worse, could have hit a whole island…

  11. Steve says:

Marine Police are tucked up in beddy byes at that time…

But yes, most accidents I have came close to have been boats without lights, and / or passing on the wrong side, not giving way to bigger boats…all ex pats…go figure.

    • swing voter says:

and some stupid locals that get mad when you point out rules of the road….and I’ll save my rant on the local jet skiers for later….brings a whole new meaning to non mariner

    • Sandy Bottom says:

The jet skiers aren’t expats. I’ve seen plenty of locals in centre consuls who drive around full hot as well. Maniacs.

    • SoMuchMore says:

Steve I think pointing fingers at ‘expats’ is not cool. I’m sure its more locals.

  12. Truth is killin' me... says:

Not guilty your worship. I was taking evasive action to avoid a “Green Turtle” that I saw bobbing in the water on the port side. You know those “Green Turtles” that have a red star on their backs!

  13. We are overtly regulated as is,it is the responsibility of vessel operator to know law as it stands.Mearly prsecute failure to adhere tuit!
