Why not just change the holiday back to the Quens Birthday and scrap the PLP’S “heros day” clearly a stupid move given they haven’t produced a hero to date and most of us don’t even recognize that day for anything other than the fact it’s a day off, if the OBA is reversing most of the former governments screw ups how about we stop dissing the Queen

The Queen has no modern relevance to Bermuda whatsoever (God bless the old dear). In fact, whether you like it or not, many in Bermuda regard this symbol as offensive. It is about time people accepted this fact. I have, and I am an OBA-supporting anti-independence anglophile. Rubbing this colonial relic in people’s faces just frustrates the progress that we are trying to make towards “One Bermuda” (remember you voted for them). Agreed the Hero’s Day concept has not worked but bringing back the Queen would be a big mistake and a political gift to the PLP.
