“Girl Rising” Official Trailer:
President of BPW Bermuda, Katie Partington Howarth said, “The ethos of our organisation is to empower women. The value of educating women cannot be underestimated for we know that educated women are more likely to stand up for their rights and break the cycle of poverty for generations below them. On 11 April 2014, we are inviting all to come to this viewing to stimulate conversation and be empowered.”
Ms. Partington Howarth continued on by saying that “another dynamic to our screening is that we will have our candle-lighting ceremony, which will allow attendees to participate in honouring our sister clubs all over the world, this promises to be a truly moving experience.”
A spokesperson said, “BPW Bermuda was due to have the candle-lighting ceremony on 8 March 2014; however due to unforeseen circumstances the ceremony was rescheduled and it will now take place at the screening.”
Price for each Ticket is $15.00 and for groups of 15 or more $270.00. Tickets can be purchased from the Orchid Nail Spa on Par-La-Ville Road.
