Let’s be honest. How many road traffic collision scenes have had to be reconstructed in the last forty years? Can’t Police do this a little quicker? I appreciate that it may need to be done but can anything be done to speed up pictures and measurements? Multi collisions get taken care of faster on the highway in USA faster than one in Bermuda!

I am surprised there haven’t been more accidents here. The exit from the Boat Club is almost blind to the right, and many folks think North Shore is actually a race-way

For every eventuality there is an acceptable level of incompetency, in the case of some road users you are looking at say, something hovering around 40 %.

There are approximately 50% that can be considered as irresponsible, exhibiting a no care attitude with no regard for other road users.

However there are by the slimmest of margins that remaining 10% who have to carry the unfortunate and regrettable stigma.

TAIL – GATING AND THE 2 SECOND RULE.

Unless there are other unfortunate circumstances.

You are driving at the legal speed limit, the “2 second rule” is a reasonable guide to evaluate a safe distance when traveling behind another vehicle, for wet roads or poor weather conditions double the timing and reduce your speed. For driving on the M1 or Interstate you may double the timing and constantly look for a means of escape.

    The Rule:

    1) THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF YOU PASSES A FIXED OBJECT.
A pole for example on the side of the road.

    2) YOU COUNT OFF TWO 2 SECONDS.
Try…… one Mississippi , two Mississippi.

    3) IF YOU PASS THE SAME FIXED OBJECT BEFORE THE 2 SECOND TIME HAS PASSES, YOU ARE NOT DRIVING AT A REASONABLE SAFE DISTANCE.
