Father And Son Deny Assault Charges In Court

July 3, 2014

In Magistrates Court this morning [July 3], father and son duo Christopher Hollis, 50, and Tristan Hollis, 17, were together charged with unlawfully assaulting Mr Hollis’s brother, and doing him bodily harm.

Tristan Hollis was charged separately with using threatening gestures by pointing a machete at the victim. Christopher Hollis was charged separately with using threatening words, telling him: “I am going to kill you.”

Both father and son pleaded not guilty to the charges, all of which stem from an alleged incident on 1st July.

The Senior Magistrate granted each accused $2,000 bail, required a Surety for each, and set trial for early October. Although the three live in the same multi-apartment residence, the bail conditions ordered by the Magistrate for the father and son duo, were they were not to interfere, in any way, with the alleged victim.
