Pregnant Woman Denies Importing Cannabis
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [Dec 18], a 40-year-old woman denied importing cannabis, and was granted $10,000 bail.
Ms Valisa Holder, who told the Court she was pregnant and due in March 2015, pleaded not guilty to importing and possessing, with intent to supply, cannabis in St George’s in September 2014.
The Prosecutor told the Magistrate that the alleged amount of the illegal substance was alleged to be over 1,100 grams, which they said had a street value just over $19,600.
The Magistrate set bail at $10,000 and required Ms Holder to provide a surety.
