Photos & Video: Gombeys At AC World Series
The Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series featured teams from the USA, Sweden, Japan, Great Britain, New Zealand and France, but the prize presentation last night [Oct 18] had a uniquely Bermudian flavour as the Gombeys took to the stage to the delight of the crowd gathered at the ‘Fan Zone’ on Front Street.
The America’s Cup World Series racing took place in the midst of a weekend of festivities, with an Opening Ceremony, the Event Village on Front Street, a music concert, and more.
While there were three separate winners of the three races on the day, Artemis Racing from Sweden proved to be the most consistent performer to take the overall win, overcoming a collision with an umpire boat to claim victory.

Nice!!! No complaints…even better
H & H Gombeys made us all proud man. They upheld a key cultural tradition and transmitted it to the world.
Thank god the Anglos were not able to stamp it out during an earlier part of our history.
Well they tried, but we lost our language and other strong cultural traditions.
