Weather Postpones Allied World Community Day
The Allied World Family Community Day scheduled for this afternoon [May 15] has been called off due to the bad weather. A spokesperson said, “The Centre on Philanthropy will make an announcement early next week concerning a new date.”
Elaine Butterfield, Executive Director of The Centre on Philanthropy previuously said, “Our joint goal is to offer an event that makes volunteerism appealing and fun for the whole family, while providing children with the opportunity to become agents of change in their community, and thoughtfully contribute to causes they care about.
“Students can earn up to two community service hours by participating. The Centre on Philanthropy is pleased to partner with title sponsor Allied World once again this year.
“Because of their generous support, this fun-filled community event is free to attend for people of all ages. We hope families across the island will join us to discover the joy of giving back to our community.”
