Photos: BF&M Hosts 20th Breast Cancer Walk

[Updated with video] BF&M hosted their Breast Cancer Awareness Walk this evening [Oct 20], marking the 20th anniversary of the event, with participants gathering at Barr’s Bay Park next to the BF&M building on Pitts Bay Road.

There was a BF&M Health Fair set-up at the park and warm-up activities prepared the walkers for their 3K trek, or 5K optional route. A performance by Places Gombeys got the walk started and a Survivor Celebration was held at the finish.

Nikita Robinson was MC for the event which expected to see Mrs. Pamela Dunkley [Patron of Breast Cancer Awareness Month], Minister Jeanne Atherden [Minister of Health and Seniors], John Wight [President and CEO of BF&M Limited] and Tara E. Curtis [Executive Director of Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre] in attendance. BF&M previously announced the support and participation of Oracle Team USA in this year’s walk.
