BNAA National Cross Country Championships
The BNAA will be holding their National Cross Country Championships on Saturday [Dec 2] at Astwood Park, with runners set to be in action from 8.30am onwards.
Bermuda National Athletics Association President Donna Raynor said, “The BNAA will be holding its National Cross Country Championships this coming weekend December 2nd at Astwood Park. The first event will begin at 8:30am. The age groups contested will be U10, U12, U14, U20, Open, Masters, Senior Masters, 60+.
“We are hoping to see some of the athletes in the U17 and U20 division who will be vying for a spot on the Carifta team as there have been some close finishes. The likes of Quincy Kuzyk, Johndel Cumberbatch, Ryan Outerbridge. Tommy Marshall in the U14 boys, Jade Johnston U14 Girls Jessie Marshall, Ahsley Irby U17 Girls.
“The open men Chayce Smith and Sean Trott have been competing well, as has Gayle Lindsay in the women. There were some good races in the younger age groups in the KPMG Front Street Mile, and we have no doubt they will be battling it out at the Championships. Of course the Masters to 60+ always provide some good competition as well.
“This is a great view course for spectators. The prize presentation will follow immediately following the last race with the Minister of Sport invited to present the awards.”
