Video: Sunday April 1st ‘Good News’ Spotlight
Bermuda celebrating Good Friday and Easter, school student leaders being honoured, a new scholarship for the University of St. Andrews being offered, Whitney Institute holding a Seniors Tea, and Bermudian actress Lana Young appearing on ‘The Resident’ were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Bermudian footballer Zeiko Lewis signed a professional contract with Iceland’s FH, National Fishcake winners were crowned, Lost in the Triangle won two Restaurant Weeks People’s Choice Awards, and Elizabeth Jones was shortlisted for the CODE Burt Award.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of the Gilbert Institute’s Easter Hat Parade, Kappa Classic, field hockey, BBA Team Time Trial Race, National Trust’s Palm Sunday Walk, Phoenix Stores’ kite making workshops, and the Salvation Army’s kite sale.
In an effort to highlight some of positive news happening in our community, we supplement our standard morning and evening email newsletters with a special Sunday “Good News” email newsletter edition, and also produce a highlight video and article which strictly focuses on the positive news about Bermuda and Bermudians from the past week.
