Court: Bomb Hoaxer Given Time To Pay Fines
[Written by Don Burgess]
The man who last January phoned in a fake bomb threat to the Dame Lois Browne-Evans Building to avoid a court hearing was back before the bench for failing to pay his fines from that event as well as several cases.
Robert Somner, 37, explained to the court how his life has fallen apart since the incident.
“After last year’s incident, we all know about, everything has gone down the drain for me in my whole life,” Mr Somner told the court. “I can’t get a job, nobody will hire me so everything’s been against me.”
Mr Somner was given until February to pay the fines he owed, but Judge Maxine Anderson warned him if he couldn’t pay his fines by then he needs to come in to let the courts know.
