Video: Sunday March 10th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that Jonathan Brewin and his son Somers climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for Bermuda’s seniors, the island celebrated International Women’s Day, the City of Hamilton donated $1,200 to two local charities, the Bermuda Red Cross receive a new van donated by BF&M Insurance, and Nathan Trott signed a new deal with West Ham were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, students graduated from the Streetwise MBA programme, Jonte Smith scored for Oxford United, Emmerson Carrington was selected for ICC International Panel, East End Primary held a Bus Driver Appreciation Week, and Somersfield Academy middle school robotics team qualified for the VEX Robotics World Championships.
Other good news stories included Mount Saint Agnes hosting students for the STEAM Olympics, National Geographic spotlighting the Bermuda Cahow, Bermudian students being invited to apply for the Generation Next scholarship, and swimmer Madelyn Moore helping to set records in Texas.
