Phillips Advances On European Junior Tour
Daniel Phillips started competing on the European Junior Tennis Tour as he took to the court to compete in the VLTC Euro Under 14 Tournament in Malta.
Phillips took to the court in his Opening Round match against Grigory Mikryukov from Russia where he advanced in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.
Phillips next took on Samuel Melaga from Slovakia and defeated him in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.
Phillips continued his winning ways but needed three sets to do so, when he defeated Aleksandar Daskalovic from Serbia 6-0, 1-6, 6-2.
In his final match of the day, Phillips teamed up with Uwe Diehl from Belgium in the Doubles, they defeated Georgios Zographakis Protopapas and Andreas Timini the number 2 seeds from Cyprus in straight sets 7-6, 6-4.
