Ship Arrives Early Due To Injured Passenger
The Anthem Of The Seas arrived early on Saturday morning [Aug 3] in order to disembark an 80-year-old passenger who sustained head injuries after a fall.
A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre [BMOC] spokesperson said, “Meyer Agencies advised the Anthem of the Seas requested to disembark an 80-year-old male passenger on medical grounds, having sustained head injuries after a fall onboard the vessel.
“Confirming the Anthem of the Seas had increased speed to arrive early at the Sea Buoy at 02:00am, Saturday 3rd August, to carry out a Medico Transfer offshore to the Pilot/Rescue Boat St David. The transfer was safely conducted with the passenger being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
“The Anthem of the Seas then waited offshore, and subsequently berthed as scheduled at Heritage Wharf later in the morning.”
