Family Centre Beach Bash Party Tomorrow

The Family Centre is getting set to hold its annual Beach Bash fundraising event tomorrow [Sept 14] from 7.00pm to 12.00am at the Fairmont Southampton Beach Club.

A spokesperson said, “Don’t miss the last beach party of the summer. There is still time to join the Family Centre for their annual Beach Bash fundraising event, Vitamin Sea.

“This year’s Beach Bash will take place on Saturday, September 14 at the Fairmont Southampton Beach Club from 7pm to midnight.

“Tickets are still available for purchase at $250 per person. All proceeds will go to support the Family Centre’s therapeutic programmes and services that ensure children receive better opportunities for well being at home, school, and in the community.”

Martha Dismont, Executive Director of Family Centre, said, “The Beach Bash is Family Centre’s major fundraiser of the year. Funds raised at this event ensure that we sustain the programmes and services we provide to vulnerable children and families who desperately need them.

“Your attendance and support of this event makes it possible for families to receive the critical care they need without financial worry. I encourage you to mix and mingle and have a good time.”

A spokesperson said, “The dress code for this year’s event is Citrus Brights and Ocean Blues with décor that will transport you to a night of tropical delights.

“Kicking off the evening is a complimentary reception featuring Ashley’s Custom Lemonades and the Paloma cocktail from Gosling’s Bro. Ltd, featuring Fairmont Southampton’s own Jasmine Lounge Patron Tequila Blend.

“Next, guests will be escorted to their tables to enjoy a buffet dinner, featuring an array of sensational cuisine with meat and vegetarian options. All tables will include two bottles of wine and a special offering of wines available for purchase to support the Family Centre programmes.

“Patrons will party the night away to the soulful grooves of Otis Redding III against the gentle crashing of waves and a full moon. There will also be a stellar line-up of crowd-pleasing performances, including Working Title, One SOULution Band, and Rowdy Piper.

“The silent auction will take center stage and guests can now bid on exclusive auction items from the convenience of their table, the dance floor, or while sampling delicious tapas at the buffet.

“This year, Family Centre is excited to offer Handbid, a free app and mobile website available on your smartphone. Preview the exclusive auction items on- line now with the app! You don’t have to be at the beach bash to place your bid. Bidding will go live on Saturday, September 14 at 7 pm and final bidding will close at 10:45 pm.

“Hannah Collins, Family Centre Fund Development Coordinator states, “Users will enjoy the fun features of the app. You will be notified when someone else bids on your item so that you have the opportunity to rebid on the item.”

“If you are attending the beach bash, at check-in, every guest will receive a unique bidder ID number allowing them to bid in the Beach Bash auction from their Apple or Android device.

“For guests who prefer to submit non-electronic bids, volunteers will be available with iPad kiosks to facilitate bidding. Everyone gets the opportunity to join in the excitement of online, real-time bidding. Auction items range from carefully curated Bermuda experiences, to home and health delights, luxury gift packages, and overseas accommodations offered across North America and Europe.

“The party does not end at midnight. Rum Bum Beach Bar at Horseshoe Bay will be hosting a Full Moon Party with 20% of all proceeds going to Family Centre. Entry is free so you can keep dancing in the moonlight.
