Traffic Congestion By TCD, Avoid Area If Able

March 29, 2021

[Updated] “Motorists who are not attending the pop-up walk-in and drive through Covid-19 testing service at the Transport Control Department [TCD] are advised to avoid the area if at all possible – or expect traffic delays in the area until the scheduled conclusion of the testing at 7:30pm today,” the police said today.

A police spokesperson said, “Roads Policing Unit officers are currently assisting with traffic flow in the North Street, Parsons Road, Dutton Avenue, Marsh Folly Road Pembroke area – however, at this time there is still traffic congestion. The patience and cooperation of the motoring public is greatly appreciated.”

As of around 6.30pm, there was a long line of people, standing spaced out as to social distance, extending all through the parking lot.

Update 7.22pm: A police spokesperson said, “Please note that earlier traffic congestion in the TCD area has since resolved itself and the Bermuda Police Service thanks motorists in the area for their understanding.”

Check the next super spreader event. This makes no damn sense.

  2. UNBELIEVABLE! Take TCD, an already constipated location at the end of a month, and ADD the chaos of Covid Testing.
