Notice Of Proposed Delisting Of A Building [Historic Monument] Of Special Architectural And Historical Interest

20 Radnor Court, Hamilton Parish [Grade 3]

WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of Section 30 of the Development and Planning Act, 1974, I, the Hon. Walter H. Roban, JP, MP, Minister of Home Affairs, am considering the De-Listing of the above-mentioned building;

AND WHEREAS I, the Minister, must before removing the historic monument from the List of buildings of special architectural or historical interest give notice to the owners, occupiers, and the public of my intention AND ALSO give them an opportunity to make such representations or objections as they think fit;

NOW THEREFORE, under the provisions of Section 30 of the Development and Planning Act, 1974 and all other powers thereunto enabling, I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE, that I will receive any representations or objections to be considered by me before removing the said building in the list, such representations or objections should be made in writing to the Permanent Secretary [Home Affairs], c/o Jessica Dill, Forward Planning, Department of Planning, Dame Lois Browne-Evans Building, 5th Floor, 58 Court Street, Hamilton, HM 12. This should reach the Department before Monday 9th August 2021.

Large Group Exemption: Blue Waters Anglers’ Club

Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 Large Group Exemption

Whereas the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport considers that Tanaya Christopher is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5[5] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than 50 persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5[5] of those Regulations to Tanaya Christopher of 4 Bat-n-Ball Lane, Sandys MA03, permitting a gathering of 72 to assemble for the purposes of Tanaya Presents: Open Mic Night on 10th July 2021 at Blue Waters Anglers’ Club at 7.00 pm to 11.00 pm, subject to the standard large group conditions below.

Standard Large Group Conditions:

  • The number of attendees at any event cannot exceed 50% of the normal capacity at any indoor or outdoor setting. ‘Attendees’ include hosts, organizers, staff, volunteers, players, coaches, officials, spectators and vendors.
  • The use of SafeKey is required for all attendees at any indoor gathering of 51 persons or more, and any outdoor gathering of 101 persons or more.
  • Masks must be worn indoors and outdoors by staff and patrons if 6 foot distancing cannot be maintained, unless eating or drinking, or with members of one household or during physical exertion, per Public Health Guidelines at: www.gov.bm/mask-guidance
  • Contact tracing details must be collected from all attendees including full name, date and time of visit, phone and email in case there is a positive case in attendance.
  • Signage must be available throughout indoor and outdoor settings encouraging physical distancing and indoor mask wearing.
  • Marshalls must be deployed at the rate of 1 Marshall per 50 attendees, in particular at the entrance, bathrooms, food and drink vending, and narrow and enclosed areas to enforce 6 foot distancing, hand hygiene and mask wearing. Marshalls can include staff, volunteers and security.
  • Sanitizing stations must be available at the entrance of any indoor setting and on tables and bar counters.
  • Lines for food, drinks and bathrooms must be marked to ensure 6 feet a distance between each person waiting in line.
  • Staff should complete the online Infection Prevention Control training available at: www.gov.bm/infection-prevention-and-control-training
  • Food and beverage vendors must comply with Environmental Health licensing and food hygiene regulations and requirements.
  • Employees must be screened for signs/symptoms of Covid-19 at the start of their shift. Sick employees must be directed to stay home or immediately go home if they feel or appear sick.
  • Adhere to cleaning and disinfecting Public Health guidelines at: https://www.gov.bm/covid-19-guidance-events-and-gatherings

The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sport reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have 72 persons assembled at the event without notice or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of Covid-19 in the local community.

The Bermuda Police Service and Officials from the Ministries of National Security, Health and Youth, Culture and Sport have right to attend and observe compliance of the conditions as prescribed above.

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5[5] of those Regulations to Nandi Outerbridge of Bridal Suite Bermuda of 3 Limehouse Lane, Hamilton Parish CR03, permitting a gathering of 65 to assemble for the purposes of Nicholas Wiggins’ Zara Cruise on Friday 9 July 2021 on board The Zara at 11:00 am – 2:00 pm subject to the standard large group conditions below:

Todd of the Department of Public Transportation is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5[5] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than 50 persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5[5] of those Regulations to Roger L. Todd of the Department of Public Transportation, permitting a gathering of 100 persons to assemble for the purposes of Department of Public Transportation Emergency Staff Union Meeting on 9th July 2021 at St. Paul Centennial Hall at 10.30am to 12.30pm, subject to the following conditions:

Conditions:

  • The number of attendees at any event cannot exceed 30% of the normal capacity at any indoor or outdoor setting. ‘Attendees’ include hosts, organizers, staff, volunteers, players, coaches, officials, spectators and vendors.
  • The use of SafeKey is encouraged for all attendees at any indoor gathering of 51 persons or more, and any outdoor gathering of 101 persons or more.
  • Masks must be worn at all times indoors and outdoors by staff and patrons
  • Contact tracing details must be collected from all attendees including full name, date and time of visit, phone and email in case there is a positive case in attendance.
