Video: Sunday August 1st ‘Good News’ Spotlight

This week was a spectacular one for the island, with Flora Duffy winning a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics making Bermuda the smallest nation or territory in the world to win a gold at the summer Olympics, the island celebrating Cup Match, Andre Lambe winning his pro fight in Florida with a first round TKO, rower Dara Alizadeh placing 18th at the Olympics and Troy Ashby putting Bermuda in 8th place for world Pi memorisation by memorising 20,000 digits among some of the positive news stories from the past week.

In additional good news — and there was plenty this week — Nahki Wells scored twice in a Bristol City win, Zeiko Lewis scored in a Charleston Battery victory, Dominique Brown won multiple championship medals, Kiwana Spencer was appointed as Outlet Manager of the Duchess Café & Gelateria, Brian Wellman will be inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor and Natural Blessings awarded a bursary to Bermuda College student Selah Ray.
