Ministry Of Education Thanks WindReach
The Ministry and Department of Education extended their thanks to WindReach for their donation of inclusive literature to Bermuda Public Preschools and Primary Schools.
Minister of Education Diallo Rabain said, “WindReach generously donated a package of five inclusive books to each Bermuda Public Preschool and Primary School in recognition of the UN International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is celebrated on December 3rd.”
“WindReach intentionally selected these books as they are centered around the authors displaying their disabilities, showing their authentic experiences.”
The Commissioner of Education, Mrs. Kalmar Richards, shared, “As WindReach works to enrich the quality of life for people with special needs, we hope that this very thoughtful and generous donation of books will provide an avenue for students to deepen their insights and challenge them to become advocates for persons with special needs.”
“We applaud WindReach for the excellent programmes which they provide for students and the larger community. They demonstrate great care and consideration for students and clients and ensure quality experiences for those who take advantage of their services.”
Minister Rabain concluded, “Bermuda Public Schools welcome and celebrate those with diverse needs and look forward to the positive impact that these books will have on all of our students. We also want to praise WindReach for their advocacy for inclusion, as each and every child deserves to be embraced and supported.”
“The Ministry of Education is committed to continuing to foster and support the fruitful long-term partnership we currently enjoy with WindReach.”
