Bermuda Athletes Rank Well On NACAC
Six Bermuda track and field athletes have finished in the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association [NACAC] rankings for the 2021 outdoor season.
JahNhai Perinchief picked up Bermuda’s highest 2021 ranking, as he had a top ten finish for the year. On June 11th in Eugene Oregon, Perinchief leaped 17.03m in the Men’s Triple Jump, which saw him finish eighth.
In the Women’s 5000m, Isabelle Dutranoit had the 17th fastest time for the year of 17:23.17; she accomplished this back on April 23rd in Charlotte. Dutranoit’s time was the fastest under 23 time for the year.
Back on April 10th, in Athens Georgia, Sakari Famous leaped 1.70m in the Women’s High Jump, which put her 31st on the list for the year.
Tiara DeRosa had a top toss of 14.29m in the Women’s Shot Put back on May 8th in Prairie View Texas, which sees her finish 28th on the list.
At the same event, DeRosa finished the year 22nd in the Women’s Discus Throw with a top toss of 48.01.
Dage Minors clocked a Men’s 1500m time of 3:45.63 in Edison, New Jersey, which put him 20th on the list.
Minors also finished 20th on the Men’s 5000m list after clocking a time of 14:32.86 on May 22nd at the National Sports Center.
Tyrone Smith’s leap of 8.03m in the Men’s Long Jump on May 29th in Chula Vista, California saw him finish 14th on the list.
