Condolences Expressed After Road Fatalities

[Updated] Minister of National Security Renee Ming and Shadow Transport Minister Susan Jackson both extended their condolences to the family and friends of the two people who died following collisions.

This follows after the police confirmed the sad news that two people died following separate collisions this weekend; a woman died following a crash in Sandys, and a man died following a collision in Southampton.

The Minister of National Security Renee Ming said, “I want to express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the two persons who lost their lives on our roads this weekend. We will keep them in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days.

“I want to encourage anyone who may have witnessed these traffic accidents or come across the scene shortly after they took place to please contact the Bermuda Police Service on 211 or the main police number, 295-0011.”

In a separate statement, Shadow Transport Minister Susan Jackson also extended her condolences, saying “I’m shocked and saddened to learn of two road fatalities. On behalf of The One Bermuda Alliance, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased during this difficult time.”

Update 4.28pm: Bermuda Road Safety Council [BRSC] Chairman Dennis Lister III said, “The BRSC wishes to offer its deepest condolences to the families of the recent road traffic fatalities. The loss of a loved one is never easy and the community along with the BRSC shares in their loss.”
