Sailors Continue Competing In Denmark
Four Bermuda sailors continued competing in the 2022 European Optimist Championships in Denmark, with Noah Amaradasa, Oliver Soares, James Ganal, and Riley Lowe all in action.
Ganal continues to lead the Bermuda boy’s fleet, he is in 58th place overall with 86 points, after he finished 17th in the first race of the day and the third of the series, before crossing the line 29th in the second race.
Soares moved up 11 places and is in 82nd place in the boy’s fleet with 112 points, he finished 34th in the first race, he then crossed the line 20th in race two.
Amaradasa came off the water in 128th place overall, he crossed the line in 41st place in the first race, before finishing 22nd in race two for his 151 points.
Competing in the girls fleet, Lowe finds herself in 99th place at the conclusion of the second day of racing, after finishing the first race of the day in 45th, before being ruled did not enter the racing area in the second race.
