Video: Sunday August 14th ‘Good News’ Spotlight
News that the Bermuda Public Services Union hosted its 30th annual Education Awards Ceremony, presenting 18 students with education awards, Charlie Jackson earned the 2022 KPMG Scholarship and Makeda Bridgewater earned the Frontier Scholarship, and members of Aries Sports Center won medals were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Bermuda’s tennis team was promoted after winning, over 1,000 images were added to BernewsCupMatch.com, Dame Flora Duffy made a special guest appearance at the Star Diving camp, Bermudian university students interning at PwC made their mark on the heritage of Verdmont museum, and Acacia Tucker, Arielle Ming, Ava Moreno, Dezjaun Thomas, Vidya Cannonier-Watson, Onuri Smith, T’aja Williams, Skye Minors, Naysaa Tucker, and Ravi Cannonier-Watson all earned 2022 National Dance Foundation scholarships and awards.
